Thank you

Well, the end has come. It is a bittersweet day for me as I end my Horizon career and embark on a new life on the West side of the state.

I have loved getting to know, and love, your children throughout this exciting 6th grade year. They come into class the first day with wide eyes and mouths clamped shut. They leave 6th grade with arms flailing and mouths that don’t close. I love watching the transition of these amazing humans; each year I think, “THIS CLASS is the best class I’ve ever taught.” And while it’s a sunny thought, I think it might be true!

Each year the kids rise to the high standards of the teachers, and work so hard. It’s tough leaving. Horizon kids are not like kids at other schools: They support and love one another like no other school. The parents here are so involved and supportive of the teachers.

Thank you for making my last year here the BEST year yet. I will miss you.
